A one-day seminar was organized for the sisters involved in the Education and Formation Ministry on July 15, 2025, at Guru Yesu Bhavan, Bangalore.
The first session was led by Fr Elvis Clifford Lewis, SJ, who spoke about the Jesuit system of education. He emphasized that Jesuit education is world-affirming and goes beyond imparting knowledge—it involves mentoring and accompanying students on their learning journey with attitudes and values rooted in competence, compassion, conscience, and commitment.
In the second session, Sr Celine D’Cunha, Provincial Superior, shared insights on Education and Formation from the perspective of Fr James Alberione. She highlighted that his vision was deeply rooted in integral formation and human development. For Alberione, education was not merely the transmission of knowledge but a mission of forming the whole person—mind, heart, and soul—towards human, Christian, and religious maturity.
The afternoon was dedicated to a sharing session, where participants reflected on the joys and challenges faced in the ministry of Education and Formation.
Later in the evening, the Jubilee of Educators and Formators was joyfully celebrated, acknowledging the unwavering commitment of our beloved Sisters who have touched countless lives through their teaching, mentoring, and spiritual guidance. As we invoke God’s choicest blessings upon each of them, we pray that they may continue to inspire, uplift, and transform the lives entrusted to their care.
