The Pauline Co-operators of India gathered in Mumbai from 16 to 18 January 2026 at the Daughters of St Paul. The three days were enriched with talks, group discussions, and engaging activities.
The first day began with the inaugural ceremony and a welcome address by Sr. Matilda, DSP. This was followed by the first session led by Fr. Francisco Thazhathel, SSP, on the topic “Laity and Their Mission in the Church in the Light of Alberione’s Thought.” The session offered deep insights into Blessed James Alberione’s vision of the laity. The second session, titled “Leadership of Laity Involved in Religious Institutions,” was presented by Mr. Adrian Rosario. His highly interactive presentation kept everyone actively engaged.
After lunch, a quiz on the Letters of St Paul and on Alberione was conducted to energize the participants. The four groups competed enthusiastically, showcasing their knowledge. In the evening, another enriching session on “Balancing Family Responsibilities and Mission” was led by Mrs. Natasha. The highlight of the day was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist by Bishop Stephen Fernandes, the newly appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Mumbai. After dinner, co-operators from the five regions creatively presented the Pauline charism.
The second day was dedicated to an in-depth understanding of the new statutes, the election of regional leaders and their councils, and the felicitation of the newly elected leaders and sister coordinators. The elected leaders also held their first meeting with the National Coordinators.
On Sunday, the third day, the Holy Mass was at the Society of St Paul, followed by breakfast. This was followed by a visit to the Studio Chapel, where time was spent in prayer. The group then proceeded to Mount Mary for prayer and to experience the Pranam Maria sound-and-light program. Later, they enjoyed a walk along the seaside to Prarthanalaya, a historic memorial of the 38th Eucharistic Congress, where they prayed and viewed a presentation on the charism and mission of the Sister Disciples. The National Seminar concluded with a sumptuous lunch.
The entire experience was spiritually enriching and deeply fulfilling. Participants were grateful for the opportunity to meet many new members and returned home renewed and energized, with a renewed passion for the Pauline Mission.
