The International Educational Colloquium on the theme “Educating for Excellence in a Digital Age: Faith Formation, Christian Education, and Global–Kerala Perspectives” was held on 24 January 2026 at the START Campus, Kozhikode. The colloquium was organized by St. Thomas Academy for Research and Training (START) and brought together distinguished speakers, educators, and participants to reflect on contemporary challenges and opportunities in faith formation and Christian education within the digital context.
It was a great privilege to participate in this international academic gathering and to present a reflection on the theme “I Am With You Always: Divine Presence and Faith Formation among Young People in the Digital World.” The presentation focused on the enduring promise of God’s abiding presence and emphasized the importance of accompanying young people as they navigate faith within digital spaces. Drawing inspiration from the Gospel, the session highlighted how faith formation today must gently guide young people to recognize God’s presence amid screens, social media, and virtual interactions.
Being part of this International Educational Colloquium was indeed a deeply enriching experience. It is hoped that such reflections will continue to inspire young people to journey more consciously with God and to discover the meaning and beauty of faith even in the midst of the digital world.
