A Journey of Grace with the Word of God

With immense joy, I express my gratitude to Almighty God for enabling me and granting me the gift of pursuing and completing my Licentiate in Biblical Theology. This journey has been a grace-filled experience of learning, growth and discovery. Every aspect of my studies has contributed to a deeper understanding of Scripture and has enriched my commitment to the mission of the Church.

My research, titled “The Abiding Presence of Christ in the Mission of the Church: An Exegetical Study of Matthew 28:16–20,” began with a curiosity to understand what kind of presence Christ promised to his disciples. As I journeyed through the text and the research, I gradually came to understand that Christ’s abiding presence is not meant only for the disciples, nor is it separate from their mission. The disciples and the mission become inseparable, because the risen Christ accompanies those whom he sends to proclaim the Gospel.

This research has deepened my conviction that the mission of the Church continues under the abiding presence of Christ. Though the research has come to completion, the journey of discovering, living and proclaiming the Word continues.

I remain deeply grateful to God for this grace-filled opportunity and to Sr. M Celine D’Cunha and the entire team for their guidance, encouragement and support throughout this journey. With renewed love for Scripture and a deeper awareness of Christ’s abiding presence, I continue to learn, live and proclaim the Word in the mission entrusted to me.
