The PDDM Community at Mango, Jamshedpur, celebrated the Karam Feast on 22 September 2026 together with the students of St. Joseph’s Community College, with great joy, faith and enthusiasm.
The celebration began with a meaningful Holy Eucharist, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Gulab Sameer Dang, Parish Priest along with Rev. Fr. Pintu Masih. We thanked God for the blessings of the earth, the harvest and God’s benevolence through creation.
The celebration also provided an opportunity to sensitise and appreciate the rich tribal culture and traditions of Jharkhand. The traditional planting of the Karam tree, rituals, songs and dances reflected the deep respect of the people for nature, community and the gifts of the earth.
Sisters and students participated enthusiastically in the traditional Karam dance and shared a sumptuous meal together. The day was filled with faith, gratitude, culture, joy and fellowship, making the Karam Feast a truly memorable celebration of Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage and God’s blessings.
