Glance at Teachers’ Day Celebrations at St. Joseph’s Community College, Jamshedpur

On September 5, 2025, the students of St. Joseph’s Community College joyfully celebrated Teachers’ Day, honouring the invaluable role of teachers in shaping their lives.

The program began with a traditional welcome of the guests through Deepa Aarathi, hand-washing, and a tribal entrance dance, followed by the College Anthem and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The Principal and Vice-Principal paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and garlanded the portrait of Florence Nightingale during the Lamp Lighting Ceremony of the Diploma in Health Assistant (DHA) students.

The celebration was graced by Rev. Fr. C. G. Thomas SJ, the Chief Guest, who inspired students and teachers with his message on the noble vocation of teaching and appreciated the students’ talents and dedication.

Organized entirely by the students, the event featured songs, dances, a skit on the value of education, and heartfelt sharing of experiences. Students also presented saplings and gifts to their teachers as tokens of love and gratitude.

In her vote of thanks, Vice-Principal Sr. Ananda expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The program concluded with blessings from the Principal and faculty, reaffirming their commitment to guiding students toward a brighter future.

The celebration was a true reflection of love, respect, and gratitude—a beautiful reminder that a teacher’s influence extends far beyond the classroom.
