Organized by the Rourkela Diocesan Vocation Board

The Vocation Camp organized by the Rourkela Diocesan Vocation Board was a grace-filled and vibrant gathering, bringing together a remarkable number of participants from the Rourkela Diocese along with religious congregations from across India. A total of 215 Religious Congregations participated in this inspiring event, with the enthusiastic presence of 455 young girls who are discerning their future and seeking God’s call in their lives.
The camp fostered a beautiful atmosphere of prayer, reflection, and joyful interaction. It served as a meaningful platform for the young participants to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse charisms and missions of various congregations. Through sessions, personal encounters, and shared experiences, the girls were encouraged to listen attentively to the voice of God and to courageously consider their vocation.
From the PDDM Indian Province, Sr. Asha Maduri and I had the privilege of being part of this significant event. It was a wonderful opportunity to accompany the youth, share our charism, and witness to the joy and beauty of consecrated life. We had the opportunity to personally interact with many of the participants, and a few of them expressed a sincere interest and desire to become part of the PDDM family. The openness and enthusiasm of the young girls were truly inspiring.
The entire program was thoughtfully and beautifully organized by the Rourkela Diocesan Vocation Board. Their dedicated efforts ensured that every aspect of the camp was meaningful, engaging, and spiritually enriching.
We thank God for this blessed experience and pray that the seeds sown during this camp may bear abundant fruit in the lives of many young people discerning their vocation.
Sr. M. Shanthi Lewis, PDDM
