Renewal of the Religious Vows

The Province of India rejoiced to witness the Renewal of the Religious Vows of Fifteen of our sisters. Of whom Eleven of them

Sr M. Monisha Michael

Sr M. Priyanka Munis

Sr M. Velencia Munis

Sr M. Kholuru Terese P.

Sr M. Asha Madhuri Soreng

Sr M. Ronika Bavighar

Sr M. Elizabeth Rani Lawrence

Sr M. Ramya Alexander

Sr M. Celine Pamei

Sr M. Prafulla Kolandai Swamy

Sr M. Urmila T Sangma

renewed their vows in Bangalore on 7th February 2023 in the presence of our Superior General Sr M. Micaela Monetti.  The Celebrant Fr Kuldeep S J in his homily humorously provoked the sisters, reminding them that as they live in an age of technology, there is constant need to switch on the mobiles from sound mode to silent mode, vibration mode, flight mode, etc. In religious life, if there is a tendency to live in a Survival mode or Maintenance mode, religious life compels us with an urgency to switch to Mission Mode. Renewal of the religious vows is a time to return to the source of all life, Jesus himself. This faith-filled decision to continue the mission of Jesus confirms one’s belongingness to Him.

On the same day Four sisters- Sr M. Monita Munis in Guwahati – Assam, Sr M. Jyothi Prava Kullu and Sr M. Suganti Lakra in Tura – Meghalaya, Sr M. Eshwarya Luji in Mumbai renewed their Vows.

We rejoice with our sisters for the presence of our Superior General during this ceremony and thank God for these sisters for courageously moving forward in their discipleship.
