“To form those who are called to form is itself a sacred ministry.”
On 20th and 21st September, a Formators Meeting was held at Alberione Oasis, Kengeri, offering a meaningful opportunity for reflection, learning, sharing, and renewal in the ministry of formation. The meeting was organized by Sr. M Rose Ngade, Provincial Councillor, with the support and encouragement of our Provincial, Sr. M Celine D’Cunha.
The sessions conducted by Sr. M Celine D’Cunha focused on various symptoms observed in the formation journey and guidelines for accompaniment. They helped us to recognize the signs and needs of those in formation and to accompany them with greater awareness, sensitivity, patience, and discernment. Sr. Rose led a session on the Right Pedagogy of Relationship, emphasizing the importance of healthy, respectful, and trusting relationships rooted in listening, understanding, and responsible guidance.
The sharing of experiences and challenges reminded us that times are changing and that formation calls us to discover new and meaningful ways of accompanying and motivating those entrusted to our care, while remaining rooted in Gospel values. We were also reminded that formation is not only about guiding others, but about continually renewing ourselves to become better instruments in the hands of God.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to our Provincial, Sr. M Celine D’Cunha, for her support and guidance, and to Sr. M Rose Ngade for organizing this enriching meeting and providing a space for learning, sharing, and renewal.
The meeting was indeed a grace-filled opportunity to deepen our understanding of accompaniment and renew our commitment to forming those who are called to follow Christ.
