Summer Music Course, Bangalore

As we conclude the 41st Summer Music Course, we thank God for His abundant blessings on the PDDM Music Academy. It was a joyful and grace-filled occasion as our 13 young students, who began this journey with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, confidently sang, played instruments, and animated the Holy Mass for the very first time. We are grateful for the dedication of the students, the guidance of the teachers, and the constant support of the parents.

The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Joseph Kiran SJ. In his homily, he reflected on the words of St. Augustine: “One who sings prays twice,” and shared eight inspiring lessons for budding musicians based on the eight musical notes and encouraged them to grow in discipline, faith, and service.

At the end of the Mass, certificates were distributed by Rev. Sr. M. Victoria Gaurea, Provincial Councillor, who also spoke beautifully about the importance of sharps, flats, and natural notes in music, and how music can positively shape one’s life.

The parents expressed sincere gratitude to the PDDM Music Academy, especially to the Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. M. Celine D’Cunha, Local Superior Rev. Sr. M. Shyla and community for providing the opportunity to learn music in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Mr. Louis, one of the students, thanked the academy for teaching not only music but also discipline and service through liturgical animation.

The program concluded on a joyful note with delicious snacks sponsored by two of the parents.
