The PDDM Music Academy, Bangalore celebrated its Convocation Day cum Christmas Celebration on 20th December 2025 in the presence of students, parents, and the sisters of the community.
The occasion was not only a joyful celebration of the birth of Christ but also a meaningful moment to honour the light of learning and dedication shown by our students. It was a blend of celebration and recognition—a time to rejoice in the true spirit of Christmas while applauding the achievements of students who excelled in their grade examinations and internal assessments. The occasion was graced by Rev. Sr. Celine D’Cunha, the Provincial Superior of PDDM, as the Chief Guest and Sr. Shyla Kolery, Superior of the Bangalore Community as the Guest of Honour.
During the ceremony, 18 students were awarded certificates from Trinity College London and 8 students received certificates for the internal examinations conducted by the PDDM Music Academy for various grades.
Ethan Alvin was honoured with the ‘Excellent Performance Award’ for successfully completing four grades during the academic year 2024–2025. Mathew George received an ‘Excellent Performance Certificate’ for securing an outstanding 99 marks in the Initial Grade. Shawnel D’Costa was awarded the ‘Best Student Award’ for his discipline, punctuality, and commitment to his studies.
A skit enacted by the sisters conveyed the message of God with us – the Emmanuel. The carol singing by the students was a truly enriching experience, reminding everyone of the cherished tradition that brings communities together in a spirit of Joy and sharing.
The celebration was further enlivened by the arrival of the jolliest guest of the Christmas season, whose cheerful “Ho! Ho! Ho!” brought joy, laughter, and smiles to both young and old alike. The programme concluded on a joyful note with the sharing of Christmas goodies.
