Celebrating the interculturality

Today, we, the community of Guru Yesu Bhavan, Bangalore, came together to celebrate the beautiful and vibrant festival of Onam—a time that brings joy, unity, and a deep sense of cultural pride.

At the very outset, let us bow our heads and express our heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for blessing us with this day—for the gift of life, for health, for happiness, and for the opportunity to gather in harmony as one family. It is by God’s grace that we are here today to celebrate tradition, share joy, and spread love.

Onam is more than just a festival; it is a reminder of the values that hold us together—gratitude, prosperity, and togetherness. It honours the homecoming of King Mahabali, whose reign is remembered as a golden era of peace and equality.

As we embrace the spirit of Onam, let us remember the words: “Ellam Avan Thantha Anugraham”—Everything is a blessing from Him.

Happy Onam to all!
