Lenten Program for Youth – 2025

The 2025 Lenten Program for Youth, organized by the PDDM Sisters in collaboration with the ICYM of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, centred around the theme “Dust to Glory.” This theme was thoughtfully explored through a series of enriching sessions and activities designed to help the youth reflect on the transformative journey of Lent.

Approximately 70 young participants from various parishes across the Archdiocese of Bangalore took part in the event. It was a day filled with spiritual insight and meaningful experiences, making it both enriching and enjoyable.

Sr. Rose Ngade, PDDM, offered a scriptural reflection on the theme “Dust to Glory,” emphasizing human vulnerability and the divine call to glory through God’s grace. Sr. Regina Sebastian, PDDM, presented a “Psycho-spiritual Approach to Sin”, encouraging the youth to reflect on their personal spiritual struggles and the importance of healing through self-awareness and grace.

Fr. Royce led a session on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, underlining the importance of confession and addressing questions related to sin and forgiveness. His talk helped the participants understand the significance of this sacrament as a means of spiritual renewal during Lent. This was followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Robin, the Assistant Youth Director.

In the afternoon, Fr. Pradeep SJ conducted an engaging session on pottery-making, which was paired with group dynamics facilitated by Sr. Celine Pamei, PDDM. Through the activity, the theme “You are the clay in the hands of God” was vividly brought to life. As the youth shaped the clay, they were invited to reflect on how God lovingly moulds each of us into vessels of grace and glory.

Overall, the program offered a powerful blend of spiritual teaching, personal reflection, and hands-on experience, guiding the youth on a meaningful path of growth and transformation during Lent.
