Centenary Celebration at Asirbhavan

This year, the Birth Anniversary of our beloved founder Bl. James Alberione on the 4th of April, 2024 had great significance for our community at Asir Bhavan, Bangalore because on that day we celebrated the Centenary of our Congregation.

With the Centenary bells chiming, and hearts welling up with immense joy and thankfulness to God almighty we gathered around the altar along with our dear sisters from Guru Yesu Bhavan, family members, friends, neighbors, benefactors, and well-wishers. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev. Fr. A. Thomas, our Parish Priest from Mariapura, and Rev. Fr. Johnson CMI (Director) and Rev. Fr. Shyjo CMI of Vidhyavanam Ashram were the concelebrants. The presence of CRI representatives from our zone doubled the joy of the celebration.

The melodious singing of Sr. Gracelet and our choir from Guru Yesu Bhavan colored the day’s celebration. It was concluded with a short program and fellowship meal.

The birth of our Congregation and its 100 years journey in the Pauline family, in the Church, and the world is a marvelous testimony to the love and faithfulness of the Divine Master towards us Sister Disciple. The life and example of our founder, our first mother Scholastica Rivata, and our pioneer sisters continue to inspire the young even today.

In the footsteps of these galaxies of saints, we continue our journey of discipleship with gratitude and greater dedication.
