INAUGURATION OF TRIMESTER PROGRAM – INDIA (MYSORE)

PDDM India: On 12 July 2021, the day of the 124th anniversary of the birth of Mother Scholastica Rivata, nine of our juniors: Sr M. Jenebi Basumatary, Sr M. Jenevie Dinis, Sr M. Philisitas Bilung, Sr M. Jenipher Dominic, Sr M. Victoria Rani Maria Das, Sr M. Rebeka Solomon, Sr M. Solomi Liimo, Sr M. Lourdes Pereira and Sr M. Bandna Bilung, began the journey in preparation for Perpetual Profession, in the Orsola Bhavan House (Mysore).

Rev Fr. Pratheesh CMI, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration compared this journey to an adventurous trekking which can include fatigue, loss, dehydration, injuries from slip and falls but it is important to never give up because the Lord awaits the travelers on the top of the mountain to reveal, also through the experience of contact with nature, the hidden mysteries and give an integrated vision of life.

Sr. Celine Cunha, the Provincial Superior, in the introductory session invited the juniors to rediscover and enhance their relationship with God, with each other and with themselves, inviting them to embark on this new path with joyful courage, assuring her and everyone’s prayerful support.

After which, Sr. Josephine Rodrigues the Junior Directress, presented to them the outline of the Trimester Programme and assured them of her accompaniment and guidance.  Later in the day, there was an on-line session with the Superior General Sr. M. Micaela Monetti which highlighted the life of Mother Scholastica, challenging the juniors to see the women of the Gospel in the light of the Rule of Life and with the strong reminder: “You will not find Mother Scholastica in books and videos, but rather in yourselves; the world should meet Mother Scholastica in you”.

Let us accompany the juniors with assiduous prayer in this demanding journey to live more closely with Jesus, our Divine Master, so that the words of Mother Scholastica resound in them too: “Lord, you alone are enough”.
