February 10, 2022, on the 98th anniversary of our existence in the Church, we are truly grateful to the Divine Master for blessing us with three more disciples in the Indian Province through the persons of Sr M. Prafulla Kolandai Swamy, Sr M. Jyoti Prava Kullu, and Sr M. Suganti Lakra to share in the Eucharistic, Priestly and Liturgical mission of the Church.
The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev Fr. Eugene Lobo SJ. Rev Fr. Prashanth Madtha SJ in his homily enlightening the newly professed with the meaning of the vows said, by taking religious vows we are left with only one choice – the choice of the Divine Master. Poverty is choosing the periphery and being comfortable with it. Chasity is investing oneself in the poor in whom there is the density of God’s presence. Obedience is being comfortable with whatever happens in one’s life, believing that it is the best thing that can ever happen.
Explaining the meaning of their names Prafulla-blooming, Jyoti-light, and Suganti-Perfume hechallenged them to actualize it in their lives. As we welcome these newly professed sisters into our PDDM family we pray that the Prayer of Mother Scholastica “Lord, you alone are enough” may give rhythm to every event of their life.
