As we continue to embrace the grace of the Jubilee Year, the PDDM in India joyfully celebrated the Jubilee of Sisters in the Health Care Ministry on 30th April 2025. It was a day of gratitude, reflection, and renewal for those who have dedicated their lives to serving priests, religious, and the wider community through healing and compassionate care.
The day began with prayer and reflection on the significance of the health care ministry from both Biblical and Catholic Church perspectives. Participants also revisited the teachings of our founder, Blessed James Alberione, especially on imitating Mary in our service to the sick and clergy.
In the afternoon, the sisters engaged in an interactive session where they shared personal experiences—the joys, challenges, and spiritual rewards of their ministry—and offered suggestions to strengthen this apostolate. There was a renewed emphasis on evangelization through health care, especially in today’s context.
The celebration concluded with an evening of appreciation and honour. Seventeen sisters, involved in caring for senior and sick priests as well as in the Holistic Health Care Centre, were felicitated for their selfless service and compassionate presence. Their contributions are a vital part of our PDDM mission of love, healing, and evangelization. Their witness to Christ the Divine Healer continues to inspire and uplift.
