Calicut: Centenary Celebration of PDDM Foundation

Celebrating 100 years of a Congregation is a great event in its history and the church. It loudly proclaims God’s faithfulness. We had a year of intense preparation, prayer, reflection, and sharing for the centenary celebration in Calicut. During these days we felt that our relationship with one another was strengthened on a communitarian level, and Jesus Master is loved and honored as the only Way, Truth, and Life. With the sense of belonging to the family, each sister shared the responsibilities and everything went on smoothly, the community was in a festive mood. To share our joy, we invited our benefactors, well wishes, priests, religious, and relatives of our sisters.

Most Rev. Remigiose Ingchananial the Bishop of Thamarassery presided over the Eucharistic celebration. The presence of our Pauline priests, other religious priests, and especially our Parish Priest Fr Joseph Kallarikal who went out of his way to help us with all our needs is to be admired. Our Bishop appreciated our presence and mission in Calicut, especially our Eucharistic ministry that we carry out in our community. After the Eucharistic Celebration, all shared in the festive meal and our sister’s families, friends and benefactors felt one with us. They collaborated and contributed generously to make this event memorable. We tangibly experienced the Divine providence; it was a delightful experience for one and all. As a community, we praise and thank the Divine Master for his marvellous deeds among us.
