On 5th June 2017 the inaugural day of the Academic year 2017-2018 (Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram: Pontifical Athenaem of Philosophy, Theology, Canon Law) the Book of Sr. Dr. Paulcy Thelakkadan Pddm titled as PAUL AS A CHRISTIAN YOGI – A study on St. Paul’s Christ experience (Gal 2:20) from an Indian Perspective (Dharmaram Publications) was released. We join her in thanking the Lord for this great gift and assure our prayerful support for her fruitful ministry in the vineyard of the Lord.
Sr. Paulcy in her book titled “Paul as a Christian Yogi” a study on St. Paul’s Christ experience (Gal 2:20) from an Indian Perspective, has ventured on a theological analysis of the profound Christ Experience of Paul from the celebrated Yogic perspective in the Indian philosophy and theology. At the zenith of his Christ experience Paul declared: “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Gal 2: 20). It is this symbiosis of Christ and Paul that is explained from a Yogic perspective which pave the way for a complementary dimension of Christian and the classical Indian theology. It adds colour and beauty to inter-religious dialogue and wider ecumenism in a land of religious pluralism and, in principle, of religious harmony.
