Entrance to the Postulancy

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall be continually in my mouth” – Ps 34:1

Postulancy is a time to learn detachment from the things of the world. The Pre -Postulants had the beautiful opportunity to renew their lives and discern in silence and reflection through three days of retreat preached by Fr. Varghees SJ. He guided and brought new awareness of the presence of God and how to incline the ears to listen to the voice of the Lord. To have a new heart with an attitude of gratitude. Thus it paved the way to perfection.

On December 8, during the vespers, the rite of entrance to the postulancy was held. The postulants proceeded to the altar, carrying the lighted lamps reminding the responsibility to shed light all around. They were also given the Holy Bible, the source of spiritual nourishment, and  to be strengthened each day. The community members made the day very special by preparing cake and variety of delicacies. It was indeed a happy and a memorable day for all. We wish the postulants a fruitful formative journey!
